12 Days of Charities: YWCA Silicon Valley

The sixth day charity spotlight goes to YWCA Silicon Valley.

The YWCA of Silicon Valley works diligently to enable women, children, and families to learn, grow, and prosper. The YWCA works with families and the local community to help guide children through the many educational and social decisions they face.

With the continuing economic challenges faced by individuals, families and the state, the Silicon Valley YWCA is continuously looking for ways to ensure that the next generation is well prepared for success and is instilled with values that will help them as they become adults. Especially at a time when the state of California faces significant budget cuts, programs like the YWCA’s Project Inspire have stepped up their efforts to increase impact.

Through various programs, including Child Care Centers, Counseling Services, Family Enrichment, the Rape Crisis Center and many others, the YWCA can help address the fundamental human issues underlying poverty, violence, and family dysfunction.
